I always knew the type of mother I wanted to be and how I wanted to look after a baby. I would always look at mothers and think why did they let themselves go or how do they not have time to brush their hair... then I had a baby and totally understood them lol. The first month after having my baby I definitely had those days, when my husband suggested I should visit Drybar I knew it had got bad. I looked in the mirror and gave myself a pep talk, I do that A LOT! As mothers we tend to put the baby, husband, housework and everything else before us and that's where we go wrong. I started making time for me again, getting my hair, nails, lashes, and brows which are essentials in my book and that feeling of feeling good again started coming back. A lot of women deal with postpartum and I definitely felt depressed at some point but it was due to frustration with breastfeeding and my body looking different. I will cover breastfeeding, body, and fitness in another blog..... So how do you stay chic as a mom? For me personally I blended my style with everything I needed as a new mom.
For example I didn't want a boring ugly diaper bag, although I know people say "don't spend a lot on a diaper bag" or "it's just gonna get dirty" I never listen and always do things my way :) hehehe. I knew I wanted a pretty diaper bag so I went into the chanel store and picked a big spacious bag that I could turn into a diaper bag. I purchased a toteSavvy insert that transforms your favorite handbag into a fully functional and organized diaper bag. I've added a picture of both my diaper bag and the insert....the website I purchased the tote insert from was lifeinplaycompany.com
